On Tuesday 13th June a group of 9 children from years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the under 11’s mixed cricket tournament at Mildenhall Cricket Club.  We began with the groups games in which we played St. Louis – who beat us, Beck Row – who also beat us (but only by 1 wicket) and then Laureat where we managed a convincing win.  Following the group games we had earned enough points to go into a match against Great Heath where we were playing for the 5th and 6thplaces.  The whole team were very excited to be against the Mildenhall side and by this point were playing even better.  We went into bat first and managed a very good score which meant we just had to field well to beat them.  After a very exciting 8 overs the team were thrilled to be told that we had beaten Great Heath which meant we finished 5th.
Well done and a big thank you to all that took part.  Everyone tried very hard and all those that played had a really enjoyable afternoon.

High 5's Festival

A massive congratulations to the children that competed in the U11's High 5 Netball Festival on Tuesday 25th April. They won 3 games and lost 2, scoring a total of 6 goals. They came 3rd overall and took home the bronze certificates!
Well done Lakenheath!

U10's Football Tournament

Well done to our fabulous U10s team who played a super tournament at Great Heath. We won 2, drew 2 and lost 1 coming 7th out of 15 local teams. We're really proud since we only conceded 1 goal in the whole tournament.

Tag Rugby

Well done to all of the children who competed in the U11 Tag Rugby competition at Newmarket Rugby Club on Thursday 23rd March. We won 3 games, and only lost 1. We were tied for 4th place, so the place in the semi-final was decided by the team who had scored the most tries. We narrowly missed out on a try score of 11 - 14. They played some fantastic rugby and should be really proud of themselves! Well done Lakenheath!

Swimming Competition

On Monday, 8 children from years 5 and 6 competed in a Forest Heath swimming gala at Newmarket Leisure Centre. Some of the children took part in individual events and they all participated in the team relay. The children put on a fantastic display and were fantastic sports cheering each other on. Out of 15 teams from the Newmarket and Mildenhall area, we placed 11th overall with a total of 51 points.
Well done Kieran, Leo, Skye, Georgia, Ruby, Evie, Rhys and Jordan!

Our U9 Cheerleading team have been  busy practising for the past few months for the local cluster festival. They were one of 6 local schools competing and the team's dedication and commitment was clear when they performed on Tuesday 31st January at Mildenhall's Dome. Costumes, pom-poms and chants at the ready, the team of 12 displayed excitement and enthusiasm. They may not have taken first place overall but were awarded 'the best use of music' and received many compliments from the audience and other schools attending.

Well done team Lakenheath! We are very proud of you.
