This half term is flying by! Everyday in Fox Class, the children have been making me proud. They have been taking on new challenges and trying harder (as a class team) to work together to earn marbles for their golden time. In the last three weeks, we have been exploring the local surroundings and observing nature in the school grounds. During our recent field trip the children identified many flowers, plants and trees. It was wonderful! In the most recent weeks, we have been able to enjoy the sunshine and take some of our learning outdoors. The mystery visit from the 'wild thing' provided us the opportunity to explore the forest area and participate in drama on the field.
As the summer draws near, and the children have completed their SATS and Phonics screening, I urge you to continue good practice at home regardless; reading, home work and spellings, number bonds and phonics sounds practise. In addition, I have noticed that only a small number of children have logged in to their Oxford Reading Buddy accounts. It is a great opportunity to encourage reading and comprehension.
