Maths Career Fair

 

Years 1-6 had a fantastic opportunity to speak to members of our village community at our 'Maths Career Fair'. We invited local businesses and volunteers into school to share with the children how they use and need Maths in their roles to demonstrate the importance of wider uses of Maths in the 'real world'. We had a scientist, structural engineer, roofer, seamstress, pilot, tattoo artist, food bank volunteer, printer, and horse riding instructor. The children were able to ask some great questions and our visitors commented on how engaged they all were.
